The Compound Wellness ("we," "us") provides in-home wellness and concierge health services in Orange County, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect through compoundoc.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us when you book, inquire, RSVP to an event, or contact us: name, email, phone number, city, and home address for in-home sessions.
- Booking details: the practitioner and the date and time you request.
- Notes you choose to share, such as what you are hoping to address or special requests. Please do not include sensitive medical details in website forms; your practitioner will discuss those with you directly.
- Payment information is entered with our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Website usage data (pages viewed, general location, device type) collected through Google Analytics, only if you accept cookies.
- Ad measurement data. If you arrive from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads and accept cookies, we record which ad you came from.
- Member portal accounts are handled by our sign-in provider, Clerk.
How we use it
- To respond to inquiries, schedule and confirm sessions, and send reminders and confirmations.
- To process payments after your practitioner confirms a session.
- To send you updates and offers if you have joined our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Airtable — stores inquiries and booking requests.
- Klaviyo — manages our email list and marketing emails. It receives only your name, contact details, and the time of your inquiry. It never receives which practitioner you contacted if that practitioner provides medical care.
- Google (Gmail, Calendar, Analytics) — sends our emails, schedules sessions, and measures website traffic.
- Stripe — processes payments.
- Clerk — member portal sign-in.
- Slack — internal alerts to our team. For requests involving our medical practitioners the alert contains only a reference number. For other requests it may include your name, the practitioner, and the requested time.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — only if you arrive from one of our ads and accept cookies. See "Cookies, analytics and advertising" below.
- Railway — hosts this website.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect safety.
Health information. Information you submit through this website's forms is not a substitute for a clinical record, and the website is not intended for urgent medical needs. If you have a medical emergency, call 911. Clinical records created in the course of your care are handled separately by your practitioner under applicable health-privacy laws.
How we protect it
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to our administrative tools requires a password, and we limit who can see inquiries and bookings. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We do not load analytics or advertising tools until you choose to accept cookies in the banner shown on our pages. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, those tools stay off.
- Google Analytics measures website traffic. We turn off Google's advertising features, and we do not send it the details after a page address.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API are switched off unless we have specifically approved them. When on, they run only for visitors who came from one of our Meta ads, only after you accept cookies, and never for requests involving our medical practitioners. They record that a visit or non-medical request occurred, together with scrambled (hashed) contact details so Meta can match it to the ad. We do not send Meta health information or the contents of your message. Because this may count as "sharing" for advertising under California law, you can say no by declining cookies, or change your mind at any time.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing email. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make a request, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
